There are more than 20 commercial banks and a host of foreign bank representatives in South Africa. These banks are well represented with a wide network of branches and automatic teller machines (ATMs) across the country. Almost all shopping centres have at least one ATM and most fuelling stations have ATM facilities in the convenience shop. This means that banking is easy and convenient no matter where in South Africa you find yourself.
