The Beauty of Disorder, African City in Motion

This exhibition and the theme explore the eccentricity, the complexities, the culture and transformation of an African City.

This exhibition Features ten artists, Dathini Mzayiya, Happy Dhlame, Kgomotso Neto, Layziehound Coka, Lebohang Motaung, Lindo Zwane, Senzo Shabangu, Sizwe Khoza, Thabo Motseki and Thokozani Mthiyane.

The theme is centred around the City, with City inspired pieces that explore unconventional techniques, such as painting on an Estate Agent board, Mixed Media Canvas, Lithography and Multi patterned paintings.

These artists compel the viewer to look afresh at the surroundings of their City at large, commenting and examining the challenging aesthetics of the City, how the grit and urban decay can be exploited and made to look beautiful.
