Let us help in providing you with knowledge on some of the best natural alternatives to ensure that you are making the best choices for your children’s health and wellness.

Several experts in the field of health and wellness will be at our Children’s Health & Wellness Promotion on Thursday 14 June and Saturday 16 June.   There is an enlightening range of talks, presentations, demos and displays that you will not want to miss.

10h00              Jane Mackenzie, Consulting Nutrition Pharmacist
                               14 June - Gut and Brain Health and the link to Obesity and Anxiety
                               16 June – Optimum Cell Vitality, Immunity and DNA Repair

Nutrition Consulting Pharmacist, Jane has spent the last 30 years investigating disease, illness, symptoms, treatments, cures, nutrition and sustainable health.  Her research and practical findings confirm “Our Food is Our Medicine and Our Medicine is Our Food” (Hippocrates).   In addition to eating healthy food, she creates potentiated food and herb supplements to set up a Stress Defence Shield. This includes “high frequency” nutrient dense foods 

11h00             Crystal Geological – Thandi Rhode-Taylor & Samantha le Roux
Interactive talk on Crystals, Crystal Essences and the benefits to empathetic, sensitive and crystal children

11h30             Dr. Mavhungu Tracy Nelwamondo 
Eating for Health from Childhood and beyond – a two-part presentation on 14 & 16 June

                        Dr. Mavhungu Tracy Nelwamondo MbBCH (Wits) IIN Health Coach
The daily presentation of chronic health issues at her medical practice led Tracy to nutritional research.   Her findings led her back to eating local and indigenous whole foods and resulted in her business Modern Traditions, which trades at the market, and offers products such as Baobab powder and Marula oil, flour and butter.   Also, delicious Marula and Baobab ice-cream!   Tracy is an IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) Health Coach.   Their mission is to play a crucial role in improving health and happiness and creating a ripple effect that transforms the world.

12h00             Dr. Susan Goslet - specialising in children’s Chiropractic and Physiotherapy.  Offering guidance and advice on the benefits of these treatments for children

All day            Bare Nature Raw Treats - Sampling of healthy and nutritious snacks for children’s lunchboxes.  No Added Sugar, gluten free, preservative free and dairy free on request, and can be tailor made to meet your preferences.  Snacks can be made into smoothies that are a meal in a glass.  

                        Daily Puppet show and a variety of children’s crafting activities.

Saturday       Significance of Art & Crafting in Child Development
Display by Michael Mount Waldorf School, with teachers in attendance to share information about the crafts on display.

 

Many of our stallholders have special offers for the duration of the promotion and there will be a customer lucky prize draw each day.   Please be sure to join us for this Youth Day celebration of health and wellness for our children and future leaders.  All of our regular stalls will be open and ready to serve you.
