The 18th Annual Hospice Witwatersrand’s Tree of Light Ceremony – Sunday, 29 Nov, from 6pm.

• New Aquarium, Medicinal Garden and Kanosaurus Recycling Monster has been launched.  
  

ZLUC (Zoo Lake Users Committee):
A large Olive Tree has been donated to the Zoo Lake and will be planted privately by a family in remembrance of their loved one.   This enables them to freely visit the site.

Upcoming Events:

• Book sale – Sunday, 25th October, 10am-3pm.   Proceeds to the upkeep of the Zoo Lake grounds.

• Hospice Fun Walk consisting of 4km, 8km and 12km routes on Sunday, October 25 at Zoo Lake from 8am. Open to walkers, runners, families, prams and even dogs, registration can be done online or on the day from 6am. Visit www.hospicewitwatersrand.org.za or phone 011-483-9170.

• Jhb Summer Food Festival 2009 – Sat & Sun, 7th & 8th November, 9am-6pm.  

• Carols by Candlelight – 25 Nov, 6 000 people, 7pm-9pm
