Gordart Gallery
Gordart Gallery opened in November
of 2003 and is a vibrant space.
The gallery exposes new and mostly
young, unrepresented artists in
a professional space. Gordart have
showcased more than 300 artists,
many of whom have gone on to win
major awards, such as Berco Wilsenach
and Lawrence Lemaoana, who won the
ABSA Altelier award and the Gerard
Sekoto Awards respectively in 2005.
Gordon Froud, the director, says
“Many of our developing artists
have gone on to be represented by
other mainstream galleries and have
been included in shows locally and
internationally. We opened Rainforest,
a project room space, to showcase
emerging talent in Jan 2006 and
in July signed a deal with the Broking
for Good foundation for sponsorship,
allowing artists a semi-sponsored
opportunity to have their first
show. Our client base is steadily
growing

Gordart Gallery
Gordart Gallery opened in November
of 2003 and is a vibrant space.
The gallery exposes new and mostly
young, unrepresented artists in
a professional space. Gordart have
showcased more than 300 artists,
many of whom have gone on to win
major awards, such as Berco Wilsenach
and Lawrence Lemaoana, who won the
ABSA Altelier award and the Gerard
Sekoto Awards respectively in 2005.
Gordon Froud, the director, says
“Many of our developing artists
have gone on to be represented by
other mainstream galleries and have
been included in shows locally and
internationally. We opened Rainforest,
a project room space, to showcase
emerging talent in Jan 2006 and
in July signed a deal with the Broking
for Good foundation for sponsorship,
allowing artists a semi-sponsored
opportunity to have their first
show. Our client base is steadily
growing
